7 ways to get free Amazon vouchers

  1. Take photos of job adverts

This is such a strange idea, but we’ve found it pretty easy to rack up £20 of Amazon vouchers over the past couple of months using this app.

    Indeed Job Spotter

    jobspotter app make money
The job site, Indeed, will pay you for finding and taking pictures of 'help wanted' adverts outside shops and restaurants. Once you've downloaded the app, all you need to do is take a picture of the advertand then a picture of the business name before submitting it.
How much you get paid per advert ranges between 0–100 points, and a point is worth one cent of an Amazon voucher – so 100 points is around 77p.
Job Spotter decides how much each advert is worth. The lowest we’ve had was 13 points for a generic job advert at a cafe chain, and the most was 96 points for a 'help wanted' advert at an independent Chinese supermarket.
As a general rule, job ads from non-chain businesses are more difficult to find online, so you get paid a lot more for them. But as the ads take seconds to submit, it’s worth taking pictures of any poster you see.
You can easily make £5 – £10 doing this while you walk around the shops for an hour or so.
  2. Scan your receipts

    pile of receipts
There are now apps that allow you to earn Amazon vouchers by simply taking a picture of your receipt(s) after you go shopping. You can upload your receipts to more than one app, but you need to upload them within two weeks of purchase!
Remember, that what you're doing here is selling your data. Companies use the information from your receipts (and data about yourself such as your gender and age) to see where, when and how you shop, and then tailor their marketing accordingly. As long as you're ok with that, here's how you do it!

    Receipt Hog

    earn money receipt hog
Receipt Hog is available on Android and iOS and works on almost all receipts.
For each receipt, you earn either coins or spins. You get coins for receipts from supermarkets, pharmacies, health and beauty shops, pet shops, toy shops and bargain or discount stores.
How many coins you get depends on how much you spent; less than £10 gets you five coins, £10 – £50 gets you 10 coins, £50 – £100 gets you 15 coins and £100+ gets you 20 coins.
Receipts from clothes, electronics, office supplies, books, sports, arts and crafts, DIY and furniture shops will get you one spin on the Hog Slots. With each spin you can win bonus coins or prizes such as having your last shopping trip paid for!
You'll also get one entry into a monthly sweepstake with each receipt where you can win up to 5,000 coins.
When you cash out, 1,000 coins will get you a £3 Amazon voucher, while 2,850 points equal £10 and 5,300 coins gets you £20. It takes about five months to earn one £3 Amazon voucher from Receipt Hog, so don't expect massive earnings.

    Shoppix

    shoppix app earn money receipt
With Shoppix you get 25 tokens for a receipt from any shop for any amount, and an additional five tokens for submitting it on the same day.
3,200 tokens will get you a £5 Amazon voucher, while 6,000 will get you a £10 one.
You have to scan around 100 receipts to earn a fiver, give or take. Shoppix is available on iOS and Android – use the code D3RJSOF3 for a bonus 100 points.

    HuYu

HuYu appThis one is just for supermarket receipts - it accepts them from Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose, Aldi, Lidl, and Co-op. You have seven days from purchase to upload your receipts, and they accept online shopping receipts too.
You receive five points for each receipt and can boost points by taking surveys, too. How many points you get for each depends on the length of the survey.

  3. Drive safely

If you consider yourself a safe driver, you can now earn Amazon vouchers by proving it!

    Carrot Insurance

With Carrot Insurance, you either install a black box in your car or download their clever app and they'll be able to track your driving.
If you maintain a positive (green) Driving Style Score you'll earn weekly rewards in the form of Amazon and other high street vouchers. Exactly what you'll get depends on your level of driving experience and type of insurance policy you go for.
It's a great way to earn rewards while driving but we'd recommend doing your research first because there's no point in paying through the nose for car insurance just in exchange for Amazon vouchers.
  4. Complete surveys

If you’ve done work experience, an apprenticeship or a job placement through your uni course, review it on Rate My Apprenticeship or Rate My Placement and you’ll get a free £5 Amazon voucher.
Make sure you fully read the terms before submitting your review though, as there are a few things you need to make sure of, such as using at least 50 words per answer – but that should be easily done!
  6. Use cashback sites

If you’ve never done it before, read our guide to cashback to find out how you can make money back on almost any online purchase. It sounds too good to be true, but it really isn’t!
Now this isn’t a total freebie, as cashback usually requires you to buy something to earn it – but if you’re shopping anyway, then it’s a good way to get something back.
Users of the two biggest cashback sites, Quidco and TopCashback, can withdraw earnings as Amazon vouchers – and you’ll even earn a bonus for doing so.
At the time of writing, if you choose to cash out with an Amazon voucher you’ll get 1% extra with free Quidco and Top Cashback accounts (compared to if you withdrew your earnings via bank transfer).
  7. Do easy online tasks

    swagbucks site
Searching the web, watching videos, downloading apps – these are things you're probably doing every day anyway, but with Swagbucks you can earn vouchers at the same time.
As you complete simple online tasks, you'll earn Swagbucks (or SBs), which you can then exchange for gift cards or cash.
620 Swagbucks will get you a £5 Amazon voucher, and these will stack up quicker than you think! Watching a 30-minute video will get you 3 SBs (you can leave it running in the background), you can get between 15–50 SBs for downloading a free app and 40–100 SBs for completing a survey.

Use all of these methods and you'll have a stack of free vouchers in no time!
